You know, I still haven’t been knitting much lately. Instead, I’ve been playing Super Paper Mario which kinda kept me amused, until I realized how much to read in this stupid game (I guess it’s semi RPG-like) and it started to annoy me. I still have few more stages to beat until the actual end of the game, that is, if I plan on finishing it. I actually haven’t played it for past couple of days so we’ll see.
On the other hand, I did come up with few vague knitting ideas and plans for this year. I know it seems a bit late for these le grande plans since January is almost over, but here it goes.
One, I have decided to make a sweater for Chris’s mom for upcoming Christmas. You see, I never have to worry about sweater curse because Chris won’t wear sweaters. Okay, the exception being those thin machine knit kinds. But I know his mom would wear sweaters and would actually take good care of it – which opens up possibilities in terms of choice of yarn. I don’t have to restrict solely to machine washables. Two top contender was this one from garnstudio, and slipped hours (and i already bought it from etsy). I’m leaning toward slipped hours, and I also would like to make one for myself as well.
Next in business, I have decided to make more garments (by which I mean, sweaters) this year. Will I succeed? That’s a good question.
And.. okay, maybe I wasn’t completely honest when I said I haven’t been knitting. I did manage to finish a hat.

It’s just that I’m not sure how much I like the crown decrease. It’s just a mock up so we’ll see if I can live with it, or if I end up butchering it and start all over. I just wanted to make a hat with braided cables and earflaps and that’s what I came up with.
Bleh, I don’t know, I’m cold and kinda hungry. Time to raid the fridge, I suppose.
