I have found it easier to cross the stitches than to load one stitch onto a cable needle, less slippery.

Hi, I am attempting to knit the Claudia hat pattern. Can you please explain how I decrease to 90 sts from the 120 that are originally cast on. Plus do you have a chart of the trellis pattern that you designed?

[...] Claudia by MJ Kim 1.1 balls of Balmoral Tweed (not 100 per cent sure of how much yarn was used, as I just used scraps leftover from Dad’s vest. It wouldn’t have been much more than 50 grams though) 3.50 and 4.00 mm needles Start: June 2009 Finish: June 2009 Ravelryed here [...]

I love the pattern, and can't wait to cast on for one! If I use a different gauge of yarn or want to make it smaller for a kid, would I reduce the number of cast-on stitches by a multiple of 6? I assume so, since the "body" of the hat is divided into 6 sections, but I want to make sure I'm not having a blonde moment! :-)
